We have three goats does at this time, two Saanens named Bonnie and Lucky and one Alpine called Simone. Bucky, our daddy goat, is very sweet and quiet. Over the years, we have had up to 11 does and kids, and we have found that the perfect number of adult does is three.
We are committed to sustainable agricultural practices and keep our herd size small, raise our goats on pasture and milk by hand. We rotate our goats through pasture and brush to prevent overgrazing and provide the best forage for the goats.
We believe natural products should be 100% natural and all of our soaps sold on this site are. Farmer Jane Goat Milk Soap’s ingredients for all soaps sold online are pasteurized goat milk, water, lye, olive oil, palm oil, beeswax, castor oil, essential oils and a lot of love. We do not use any preservatives.
Farmer Jane Goat Milk Soap was established in 2008 by two Farmer Janes – Sydney Green and Molly Hamilton. They came from different directions and met in the middle.
Our DFTBA soap means Don’t Forget To Be Awesome, the mantra of co-owner Sydney Green’s sons Hank Green and John Green. Hank and John are known in part for their YouTube channel, Vlogbrothers and for the Nerdfighters community.
